Effects of Abrupt Cross-Section Area Change on theMultiparameter Propagation Characteristics of Premixed Methane–Air Explosion in Pipes

This paper explores the effects of an abrupt cross-section area change gas pipes on propagation law explosion. For this, explosion pipe experimental system was established, and a numerical research conducted. By simulation, evolution overpressure, temperature, vorticity, kinetic energy shock waves in pipelines investigated. allowed us to obtain expressions for attenuation coefficient, increase reflection coefficient overpressure. The study indicates that pipeline leads decrease wave overpressure vice versa. given area, gradually increases as initial peak rises, whereas both present decreasing trend. An structure can inhibit flames. explosive is affected by turbulence effect after passing through middle large-diameter pipe, vorticity curve exhibits clear peak. In addition, large eddy motion caused strong confinement pipes. above outcomes contribute further enriching basic theory mining laneway.
